I was once pulled over for going 95mph on a motorway with a 70mph limit.
I was in a Honda CRV (4x4), and the cop was in an unmarked Mercedes. He
actually told me it was ok to go fast in a Merc, but not a 4 wheel drive.
He was so boastful about having caught me after I thought he'd turned off
the motorway, that he let me off!

Not enough to hurt. In fact when I've rammed the back end of another vehicle, I've hardly moved in my seat. The crumple zone is designed to prevent any shockwave coming through to the occupants.

i didn't say identical. i said both are damaged.

if a small car and an 18 wheeler truck collide, both will sustain
damage.

even a concrete bridge will sustain some damage if a car crashes into
it. it'll be minor but it won't be zero.
