That's not what happened. When the generator started for real the first time, I thought that by accident I bought a smoke generator, instead of electrical generator. It was just spewing storm cloud sized stream of dark gray smoke. It actually started off slow, coughed a lot, spewed smoke in enormous amounts, then sped up and ran nicely and clearly. I will try to record a video of its "cold start" if you like that sort of stuff. It is kind of remarkable for how it smokes for the first 5 seconds when started cold. i |

Instead, it has a special cold start assist, an ether delivery system that shoots a measured amount of ether into the intake manifold. I bought what seems to be a wrong ether bottle, so the cold start assist does not work, but I will try to find the right bottle. i |

Indeed. Thats the one. Whatever happened there? I'm not sure, but I think he needs to get a tach (optical?) on it to see if it's really over speeding, or just loud as hell inside the trailer. |

From the street, to the left of and behind the running genset, tarped? It was a trailer, but not a generator. Oh, you put the "connestoga kit" on it. I will try to record a video of its "cold start" if you like that sort of stuff. It is kind of remarkable for how it smokes for the first 5 seconds when started cold. i You should keep as low of profile as possible, that looks like one of those neighborhoods that someone will call in the troupes. Like what happened to me when my neighbor and another got into it. The other one thought that simi trailer was theirs and thus called them up. The day after the trailer left town the dude shows up asking where it went. I told him probably Nebraska by now. He gave me $1,100 in potential fines ranging from stumps in the bushes that had been there when I bought the house to the missing fence between the two houses, if not fixed with 30 days. I was really surprised that I got away with it in the first place. The trailer was there a good month while I fixed it and packed it and it stretched from the edge of the sidewalk to the back of both houses. Glad I moved. I drew up a comparison once and the last place was like the size of a postage stamp and this place is the full size envelope it goes on. SW |

I couldn't afford Mayflower Moving Company to do the job and they probably wouldn't move all my machines anyhow, so I had no choice. The lady who called it in must have told him that it had been there a month. So, if he couldn't give me a fine for the violation he would make up some to punish me. No Problem SW Glad I moved. You wont do so well with your libertarian princibles ..hooked to the front of a plow. I stopped taking the Libertarians seriously in 2001 after some of the Libertarians on an email list I was on, decided they had to go and do the "moral"thing, and become human shields to protect Palestinians from the Israeli government. I asked then, were they serious, why were they not offering to act as human shields to protect the Israeli civilians threatened by suicide bombers on the busses? Dead silence. It is nice to believe that all you have to do is have True Freedom to avoid war. But ignoring the fact that Original Sin seems to be the only doctrine which has empirical support, does not make those inclined to physical violence "go away". Having the freedom to do what ever you want with no one to stop you, also means that there is no one to stop some one else from doing what ever they want to do to you. fnord. -- pyotr filipivich We will drink no whiskey before its nine.
