In fairness to Obama, the Democrats DID have 57 entities sending delegates

He just misspoke the word "state" when he meant "places of no consequence."

As for Palin and East/West Korea, it never happened.

Of course folks who voted for BeeHO believe that Sarah Palin said:

Got a cite for that?

I think it is a misquote from a new book on the 2008 election ("Game
Change"). Also from an interview with the top campaign strategist from
the McCain campaign last sunday on 60 Minutes. The strategist said
"after the convention was over, she still didn't really understand why
there was a North Korea and a South Korea." Certainly that is different
from thinking it was E and W, but IMHO not by much.

The strategist also said "She was still regularly saying that Saddam
Hussein had been behind 9/11. And, literally, the next day her son was
about to ship off to Iraq. And when they asked her who her son was going
to fight, she couldn't explain that." And asked why she wasn't nervous
after being asked to be McCain's vice president she said "No, it's God's
plan."

I don't think it was widely reported, but after the election the Fox
'News' chief political correspondent revealed he learned from the McCain
camp that Palin "didn't understand that Africa was a continent, rather
than ... a country just in itself."

What was stupid about that, she told the truth. Were you educated in
a government school or are you educated at all? You probably think
I'm a Republican, not so. I would defend a Democrat who told the truth
too. The problem is that any Democrat who tells the truth is summarily
excommunicated by the Democrat party.

Yeah..... he's a real moron....

From Wiki:

"In late 1988, Obama entered Harvard Law School. He was selected as an
editor of the Harvard Law Review at the end of his first year,[35] and
president of the journal in his second year.[36]During his summers, he
returned to Chicago, where he worked as a summer associate at the law firms
of Sidley Austin in 1989 and Hopkins & Sutter in 1990.[37] After graduating
with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude[38] from Harvard in 1991, he
returned to Chicago.[35] Obama's election as the first black president of
the Harvard Law Review gained national media attention[36] and led to a
publishing contract and advance for a book about race relations,[39] which
evolved into a personal memoir. The manuscript was published in mid-1995 as
Dreams from My Father.[39]"

Which law school did you graduate from "magna cum laude"?

Here's Pailin's education background from Wiki:

"She attended the University of Idaho in the Fall of 1984 and Spring of
1985, Matanuska-Susitna College in the Fall of 1985, and the University of
Idaho again in the Spring and Fall of 1986 and the Fall of 1987, when she
received her Bachelor's degree in communicationswith an emphasis in
journalism."

She has a Bachelor's degree in communication and yet she still managed to
make a complete idiot out of herself on national TV. Quite an
accomplishment.

Yes, you can see Russia from Alaskan soil. Actually it is possible to

No. She cited being able to see Russia from her home state as her
"experience" in foreign affairs that qualified her to be President.

Heh! No, she didn't. She was asked whether her proximity to Russia gave her
any perspective on that country.

And she wasn't running for president. If she were, and the race hinged on
how much experience or knowledge the two candidates, Palin and Obama, had
regarding Russia, press conferences today would begin with "Madam
President..."

But that's a tempest in a teapot. There's really not much to know about
Russia. I mean, you just can't expect a bunch of ignorant peons to
understand a machine like some of our boys. ... I mean, you take your
average Russkie, we all know how much guts he's got. Hell, lookit look at

publishing contract and advance for a book about race relations,[39]
which

as
Dreams from My Father.[39]"

Which law school did you graduate from "magna cum laude"?

Here's Pailin's education background from Wiki:

"She attended the University of Idaho in the Fall of 1984 and Spring of
1985, Matanuska-Susitna College in the Fall of 1985, and the University
of
Idaho again in the Spring and Fall of 1986 and the Fall of 1987, when she
received her Bachelor's degree in communicationswith an emphasis in
journalism."

She has a Bachelor's degree in communication and yet she still managed to
make a complete idiot out of herself on national TV. Quite an
accomplishment.

With all that education, how is it that my President says such idiotic
things all the time, it's embarrassing. Other world leaders are astounded
that the citizenry of this country elected such a goof ball.

TDD

You're looking at Obama through the eyes of a loser. Now you know how we
felt about Shrub.

I saw it as a minor slip.

Other world leaders?

What was stupid about that, she told the truth. Were you educated in

She said you can see it from her state. As if that implied she had foreign

The thing about "from her house" was Saturday night live.

Heh! Actually Palin was correct; one can see Russia from Alaska.
Russia is less than three miles from Alaskan territory and you can
see Russia from every house in the town of Little Diomede, Alaska.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgCS8OYqu2s

In the video they ask some school children where the island across
the strait is. They correctly answer "Russia."

Would you like to reappraise your conclusion?

Apparently you are unaware that Vice Presidnets have to be just as
qualified as presidents, since they may become President at a moment's
notice.

She might make it as president of the P.T.A., but obviously she
couldn't even handle being governor of Alaska for a full term.

Don't understand? How about a crazy bitch in line to be POTUS?
Knowing nothing about international relations (as in, "We saved your
asses...go to hell.) has ceased to disqualify contenders, so it has
gotten down to personalities. I'd much rather have someone who lies
about their sex life than just a plain crazy.....Sarah had at least
four good reasons not to accept the VPcy...a special-needs baby who
also is more likely to get diseases in exposure to crowds. A pregnant
daughter with a marriage imminent whose situation logically should not
be in national media. The child she bore is now living in distance
from it's father. She proves over and over she has no ability to
judge critical situations. One wonders what function Sarah's
"husband" serves in her family, aside from the biological
one...fueling snowmobiles and cleaning hunting rifles? Yuuuuuuuck!!

Actually, we expect Democrats to lie, cheat and steal. When they
exercise bad judgment, no big deal, reelect them, perhaps they'll
do a better job next term. *snicker*

TDD

Well, at least they aren't out molesting little boys and then crying for
the cameras about how sorry they are. I can hardly wait for Tiger's
apology...it should be a doozie. I'll probably toss my TV out the
window the day that is broadcast...there is (still) radio )

claim she didn't know the difference between North and South Korea. Palin
dismissed it but:

Hey....So Palin's a genius to you. No Problem
Genius can be a relative term.

My joke came from another Palin joke about a statement that the book claimed
she made. Can't spell it out much further.

Did she actually say she didn't know the difference between N/S Korea? I
don't know.

I like to make fun of Palin because she's funny. If you like her great. It
makes her just that much funnier to me.
