I hope her supporters spend dearly on her so they are all tapped out by the time the Democrats pick their real candidate. Last time they picked an inarticulate, incompetent, nobody who couldn't pronounce Marine Corp and did not know how many states there were over her. Wow! Press is still covering for him. Maybe after the election, she can write a tell all book titled "The view from under the bus". She will be able to describe every part of the undercarriage by heart. Hillery's negatives are so high that even Democrats don't like her! And she comes off like the ex-wife from hell! -T Okay, only a little sorry. A tiny bit. Really. Why are you looking at me that way? Somewhere deep down I could. Really. Well when I get done cheering her on RUN HILLERY RUN!!! SPEND EVERY SENT OF YOUR SUPPORTER'S MONEY!!! Then write a book. :-) |

Basically it just comes down to looking at the whole picture and trying to make an intelligent decision. Well then, you goin to have to be a little flexible then, because you will not agree 100% with any of them +1 There isn't a perfect candidate. I try to look at it from the positive side rather than whom is the biggest douche. Right now Billary has no positive side (at least that I know of). The RNC has to do the two step shuffle and we'll see who emerges without major detritus. -- Tekkie *Please post a follow-up* |

Just a couple months ago, she's on video saying "Don't believe it when they tell you small business creates most jobs...." That alone would make a nice commercial. Yes, it would, because it's true. "There is no systematic relationship between firm size and growth" http://www.nber.org/papers/w16300 Who Creates Jobs? Small vs. Large vs. Young John C. Haltiwanger, Ron S. Jarmin, Javier Miranda NBER Working Paper No. 16300 Issued in August 2010 NBER Program(s): EFG LS PR The view that small businesses create the most jobs remains appealing to policymakers and small business advocates. Using data from the Census Bureau Business Dynamics Statistics and Longitudinal Business Database, we explore the many issues at the core of this ongoing debate. We find that the relationship between firm size and employment growth is sensitive to these issues. However, our main finding is that once we control for firm age there is no systematic relationship between firm size and growth. Our findings highlight the important role of business startups and young businesses in U.S. job creation. -- Bobby G. |

And even today, I think most of their profit is from their other lines of business, ie printers. Her buying up Compaq made no sense to me. In essence she doubled down on the part of their business that was least successful by buying Compaq that was itself struggling with problems, running out of money, at the time. And prior to that Compaq had bought DEC, which was failing, in a similar strategy that also didn't work. |

Still, you have to wonder what she was thinking. The margins suck and between the recession, tablets, smart phones, and so forth the entire industry has taken a hit. |

As I said, from what I saw, she was treated as some kind of wunderkind, going from one position to the next, being promoted, without staying anywhere long enough to even see if what she did worked or failed beyond the short term. And she was a good self-promoter. She probably had even herself convinced that she knew what she was doing. And a big, bold move, the Compaq merger, brought her a lot more attention. |
