her like Sarah Palin.

I hope her supporters spend dearly on her so they are all

Last time they picked an inarticulate, incompetent,

how many states there were over her. Wow! Press is
still covering for him.

Maybe after the election, she can write a tell all book

to describe every part of the undercarriage by heart.

Hillery's negatives are so high that even Democrats don't
like her! And she comes off like the ex-wife from hell!

Okay, only a little sorry. A tiny bit. Really. Why

Cockburn and St. Clair are doing a three part series 'The Making of

It must be a retread because Cockburn died in 2012, but the facts, like
Clinton failing the DC bar exam, don't change.

For those not familiar with the site, it is usually characterized as
radical left wing. Clinton may wind up dodging arrows from both flanks.

+1 There isn't a perfect candidate. I try to look at it from the positive
side rather than whom is the biggest douche. Right now Billary has no
positive side (at least that I know of). The RNC has to do the two step
shuffle and we'll see who emerges without major detritus.

Yes, it would, because it's true.

"There is no systematic relationship between firm size and growth"

http://www.nber.org/papers/w16300

Who Creates Jobs? Small vs. Large vs. Young
John C. Haltiwanger, Ron S. Jarmin, Javier Miranda
NBER Working Paper No. 16300
Issued in August 2010
NBER Program(s): EFG LS PR

The view that small businesses create the most jobs remains appealing to
policymakers and small business advocates. Using data from the Census Bureau
Business Dynamics Statistics and Longitudinal Business Database, we explore
the many issues at the core of this ongoing debate. We find that the
relationship between firm size and employment growth is sensitive to these
issues. However, our main finding is that once we control for firm age there
is no systematic relationship between firm size and growth. Our findings
highlight the important role of business startups and young businesses in
U.S. job creation.

During her tenure at HP, and in spite of my saving HP from being sued by
one of the largest firms in the US and my communications with her to

I used to work at HP and met Dave Packard often back in the 'old' days,

It was controversial when she bought Compaq. Eventually HP regrouped
with the ProLiant server line that was originally Compaq's and made
Compaq their consumer line. There's not a lot of margin in commodity
computers. For instance IBM sold their line to Lenovo.

Meanwhile as they were shooting it out, Dell ate their lunch. HP
survived but it certainly wasn't because of Fiorina.

She's on many lists of the worst tech CEOs in history.
HP stock value was cut in half during her 6 year reign.
And even today, I think most of their profit is from their
other lines of business, ie printers. Her buying up Compaq
made no sense to me. In essence she doubled down on the
part of their business that was least successful by buying
Compaq that was itself struggling with problems, running out
of money, at the time. And prior to that Compaq had bought
DEC, which was failing, in a similar strategy that also
didn't work.

Their current server line was a carryover from Compaq, but they didn't
have to buy a company to build a decent server. The PC sales are growing
and may get a bump as the XP boxes die and are replaced. That assumes
Windows 10 isn't another pig that will discourage sales.

Still, you have to wonder what she was thinking. The margins suck and
between the recession, tablets, smart phones, and so forth the entire
industry has taken a hit.

As I said, from what I saw, she was treated as some
kind of wunderkind, going from one position to the next, being promoted, without staying anywhere long enough to even see if what she did worked
or failed beyond the short term. And she was a good self-promoter. She probably had even herself convinced that she knew what she was doing.
And a big, bold move, the Compaq merger, brought her a lot more attention.

I am previewing SOF (Son-of-Frankenstein, or Windows Nein,
oops, Windows 10). It is snappier and a bit more polished.
But it is still Frankenstein (w8) re-spun, so don't hold
your breath. For content creation, stay on Windows 7.

Her buying up Compaq made no sense to me.

HP and Compaq use to compete on who could make the
worst computers. After Fiorina, it was a mute point.

Some of those old Compaq units had drives you could make door stops
with - how many MB's? There was a 'laptop' model the size of a
carry-on luggage. They went to military disposal, except the drives.

Many federal government contracts were with HP. $25,000 (yes) printers
(I spent your tax money on two). Desktops moved to Dell (contract).

Possible slogan:

"I have lady parts. Try me out!"

No?

You sure about that? I'll pass on the try out. I was talking to a gnarly
guy who went to school with her. She was reputed to be a lesbian back
then... Not that that matters. I asked him if he was the one who turned her
after he tried to get some of that... This is all on her server... g

Was it Lanny Davis that did the deed? Saddle broke her!

Could be. This guy wasn't Lanny though.

Lanny is working for PA's Attorney General on damage control. She quashed an
investigation on "corrupt" (Oxymoron) politicians and the Philly DA took it
up and is going to town! The was a puff piece in the Philly Inquirer about
her travails and blamed inexperience, blah blah and her adverse upbringing.
Her husband (soon to be ex) owns the Kane Trucking Co which hauls the liquor
for Liquor Control Board (PA's antiquated booze bureau).
