Yes. I've spent twelve hundred dollars via PayPal in the last two days.
PayPal lets me use either my credit card or my bank account to pay a vendor -
but without giving the vendor my credit card or bank account number. The
only other way to pay for eBay things (for example) is via a money order or
check - and then I have to wait for it to get there, and if it's a check, to
clear. This kills impulse buying... something that you probably want to
encourage.

Be really really accurate on your shipping charges. Nobody wants to spend $100

timber management. The question is how many board feet do you need. I have a
log yard near Frankfort for the ones that wanted to know location. I am new
to selling logs to people other then log yards and exporters. I have a small
bandmill and have kiln dried walnut 5/4 and 4/4 in widths upto and including
19inches. Low sap. I got lota of cedar cut and dried. Everything else is
green. Custom harvests on request. Also I can move my mill to you if needed.

I was going to ship at cost. Also I have used paypal but only for ebay
items. I was always told to allow 4-5 days to make sure the payee couldn't
retract their payment with the notion of de-faulting on the item after it
was shipped. Large items will be shipped truck freight.

I use PayPal frequently to both make and to receive payments. I've probably
been involved in 150-200 PayPal transactions and they've all gone perfectly.
I think it's a good way to go for an individual, I don't know about a "real"
business though.

Yes. I've spent twelve hundred dollars via PayPal in the last two days.
PayPal lets me use either my credit card or my bank account to pay a
vendor -
but without giving the vendor my credit card or bank account number. The
only other way to pay for eBay things (for example) is via a money order
or
check - and then I have to wait for it to get there, and if it's a check,
to
clear. This kills impulse buying... something that you probably want to
encourage.

Be really really accurate on your shipping charges. Nobody wants to spend
$100
on shipping and see a $40 label on the box.

You know, if you told the people over on rec.crafts.woodturning,
you might be abel to sell the logs as shorts w/o having to mill
them at all. Just seal the ends after cutting them to lengths.
Turners are always looking for nice fresh wood.
