No, not the RCM members. You're talking mostly about the cross-posting
knuckle-draggers who do nothing much besides troll and attack. White
trash, for the most part. This has a long history and the old-timers
here could tell you approximately when it started, how, and whom.

And then they catch a counter-attack, and we're off to the races.

You don't seem to have fully caught on to what Bonkers is about, or
how he earned his nick. He's a guy with some emotional problems that
manifest as put-downs for the obvious purpose of propping up his very
fragile self-esteem. Eight or ten years ago he had a strong bipolar
tendency, which has been documented in some of the funnier archives on
Usenet. He seems now to be on a full-time downer.

But if you just let him run without tossing it back at him, he runs
off at the mouth with an endless stream of insults and slander. So we
don't just let him run anymore.

As many LinkedIn users have said, that's the most fraudulent part of
LinkedIn. It's "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours," and most
people who would "endorse" someone else have no idea whatsoever what
actual "skills" the other person has.

I stay out of the conversations there with rare exceptions, but I got
an "endorsement" from a very nice guy for my skill at writing short
stories. I wrote my last short story when I was a freshman in college,
and I sure don't have any skill at it. d8-)

"Since LinkedIn introduced its endorsements feature more than a year
ago, we’ve all received endorsements for skills we didn’t know we had
from people we didn’t know we knew.

"Though I think I could do a good job of writing about food, I’ve
never done it, so I was mystified when five people endorsed me for
“food writing.” Another mystery endorsement came from someone who
checked off “celebrity,” whatever that means." -- Susan Adams, Forbes
magazine

Likewise, no doubt, your endorsements.

Any serious look at the history of human beings over the millennia shows
that the species began in poverty. It is not poverty, but prosperity,
that needs explaining. Poverty is automatic, but prosperity requires
many things -- none of which is equally distributed around the world or
even within a given society.

Anyone who cares what Jonathan Ball thinks is a brain dead moron with no clues.

I miss the days when I use to waste Jonathan Ball and his hundreds of aliases. I though Ball was going to have a nervous breakdown because I handed him his ass and kicked him into the gutter so hard.

Ball has never been wasted as badly as I wasted him on Usenet and I doubt he ever will be again. Day after day of being completely destroyed. It was an embarrassment he will never forget.

Ball is the perfect fit for fellow lifelong loser slow eddy.

I signed up my business several years ago, and almost overnight was
getting link requests from diamond brokers, real estate agents,
and other fields that had zero connection to my business. When I
asked each one why they thought a connection would be of any value,
I got some very creative and convoluted reasoning in return.
Decided it was a waste of time. Even after deleting my account, I kept
getting invites right up to closing my shop last year.

Best thing I ever did to garner new customers was go through the white
pages of phone books from neighboring areas while waiting at the bus
stop for my kids. Called any outfit that even remotely sounded like they
might need machining. Picked up my two best customers this way and cost
me virtually nothing but otherwise wasted time.

Yeah, I continue to turn down invites from Facebook and all the rest.
I guess it's about time to start closing down the majority of those
business and social media connections. I just paid for one more year
of liability insurance and will let my contractor's license expire at
the end of next year. One little debt to go and I'm free and clear to
enjoy my Social Security instead of Social Media.

Great! About 95% of my new clients come from a small ad in the
Service Directory of the little local rag. And about 1/3 of my
clients are lifers who call me several times a year for years.
The newspaper ad costs $45/mo and works better than the Yellow Page
ads ever did, at half or less the cost.

iggy is a scrap dealer with a scrap dealers mentality. iggy can't create anything that's a high precision part.

LinkedIn is lost on non-creative people like iggy who can't machine his way out of a paper bag and who fantasize about replacing all fast food workers with robots.

When it comes to Larry Jackass, LinkedIn also fails because it doesn't cater to homeowners looking for a home and garden handyman. Yelp is the better choice for home and garden handymen like Larry Jackass:

http://www.yelp.com/biz/home-and-gar...an-grants-pass

Consider that Larry hates Mexicans because they can do a much better job for a lot less money in SoCal than Larry could ever dream of doing.

When it comes to Larry Jackass, LinkedIn also fails because it doesn't cater to homeowners looking for a home and garden handyman.

Well, he's at the top of LinkedIn's list of the Top 20:

iggy is a scrap dealer with a scrap dealers mentality. iggy can't create anything that's a high precision part.

Who cares? I've been to his house. You could only wish, you
four-flusher.

I could create high precision parts if I wanted to. Fortunately, for
me, I do not want to, and instead enjoy weekly auctions of bankrupt
"high precision" job shops.

I think that it may depend on the area, or local customs. Singapore
used to publish two thick volumes of "yellow pages" and you could
locate any business that you were interested in, in a few minutes. Now
the "yellow pages: are one slim volume and it is difficult to find
who, what, where any more.

When I ask businesses why they aren't "in the phone book" any more
they all tell me that "Oh yes. But we are on Face Book. It seems that
they can be on Face Book far cheaper than paying for a posting in the
yellow pages.

Wrong. iggy could not.

iggy is bull****ting himself again.

In addition, iggy doesn't make the kind of money that successful high-end SoCal machining job shops make.
