I find it a depressing thought because it may mean that might have to put up with more of that smirking lying **** Bliar and his oleaginous thieving Chancellor and the whole lying, deceitful, nauseating bunch of yes-men they are surrounded with. Fair enough. It is fairly clear that 'New Labour' has exhausted any good will which they inherited when they came to office. I can't believe the crap I read on here. The economy is booming, the pound is almighty strong, unemployment is the lowest for 25 years, no more cardbord cities of homeless people, great anti-social laws, the world went into recession the UK never, etc, etc. Personal debt up from £300 billion in 1992 to over £900 billion today. 80% of it is mortgage repayments to basically survive. The economy isn't booming, house prices and imports are. Which indicates that money is about. There is always plenty of money about. It can be printed and hived off in government bonds indefinitely. Money is not teh issue ultimately. Its the provision of goods and services beynd a countries means to generate them that is the issue. Traditionally you do this by importation, running up a debt to some other country, and then adjust your currency to rip off the other country and devalue the debt. This may no longer be possible. --- -- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.555 / Virus Database: 347 - Release Date: 24/12/2003 |

But I do have sympathy for those who find themselves out of work through no reasonable fault of their own. These *are* the folk who are deserving of help and support. Anyone can fall on hard times and I would advocate as much assistance as possible to get them back on their feet. Most people have the pride to want to earn their keep. They are treated very harshly by the job centre, at a time when their world is turned upside down trying to cope with financial demands they can no longer meet. Quite. Sadly they get so many of the other sort that perhaps they can't tell the difference any more? I think just the injustice and indignity of it all would stop me claiming benefit, although as self employed, I believe that I must pay in to the system but am not entitled to take out. :-( -- AJL Electronics (G6FGO) Ltd : Satellite and TV aerial systems http://www.classicmicrocars.co.uk : http://www.ajlelectronics.co.uk |

Howver it works only when the vast mass of ignorant peasants finally realise how much they have been lied to and select a new liar. "ignorant peasants". The snotty uniness is really coming to the surface. One lone genius is better served in helping them, not adding to their stupidity... A society works better when all pull together.
