No. all those are things touted by teh Left to expalin their own
complete inadeuacy in government, and to pretend to their votahs that
they are really cool people instead of a load of uneducated peasants.

Whereas any tory politician is completely aware that his audience is
merely a lot of overpaid half educated peasants.

It is this marveloous hypocrisy that insists on the one hand that
'anyone in the country could be prime minister' and then ask you to vote
for 'the one man who can put the country to rights'

Its all just a freak show. What really determines a countries
advancement is freaks of nature and accidents of history and geography.

Britain was great because it had a suitable merchant class and a god
seafaring tradition - not surprising for an island - plus access to iron
ore and coal, and a bit of a radical approach to political and
theological structures.

Sadly its lost all of those, and ceased to be as great.

Polticians are simply surfers on teh waves of fortune. They would have
you believe they set up the waves, and directed their course. That is
their justificaton for taxing the ******** off you and spending your
money on theoir pointless debating chamber.
