Default Fitch update

Fitch has broken ground for his new house in PA. He's also picked up
the guitar that he hadn't played much for years, bought himself a new
one as well, and is practicing and playing every day. The house has
him busy as long-tailed cat in a roomful of rockers at the moment.

Don, thank you for passing this on. I'm pleased that Fitch's
plans are proceeding apace. I know it's not easy to pull up roots
and start fresh someplace else, and if you speak to the man pass
on my thoughts for his sucess.

I will be traveling through that part of the country next summer when I
go back east. ( State College PA to Chatham VA ) and would like to stop
in and meet Fitch. I always appreciated his posts. Does anyone know
how to locate his place? All I remember is it's somewhere near
Gettysburg.

Good to hear he's doing great! I still think of him every time I run
my lathe, the VFD he was so kind to send me for just the shipping charge
is running it just fine!

Does he know about Cabin Fever this coming weekend? It is at
least in the same state, though I don't know how close to York PA he is
set up.

If he shows up, he should probably touch base with Scott Logan,
who has an easily-found display there.

Enjoy,
DoN.

Hey Don,

Thanks for the update. Say Hi for us.

I drove out Hwy 14 to Mojave last week, but couldn't remember the
name of the area where they lived. I watched over the edge of the
highway for the corral, but no luck. Glad I didn't spend a lot of
time looking, as it sounds like they are "gone for good" from CA.

Hey Brian:

The berg that Fitch and Nedra lived in is called Acton--can't see their
place from the 14.

Yup, we are. That CNC mill that you and Jan Howell helped me unload in
CA is here in PA. It rode here bolted to a flat bed trailer along with
the other mill and two lathes. It's in pieces waiting for a shop
building and some re-assembly.

He does! G

I plan to be at Cabin Fever at least on Saturday. Its not very far up
the road from here - maybe an hour. It used to be 5 days drive.

Great! I will be there saturday, too. Ways to spot me:

1) Beard (not enough, in that crowd).

2) Nikon D70 digital SLR camera swung over my shoulder, and
possibly to my eye being used.

3) Folding cart with white canvas bag with red handles hooked to
the cart for the smaller purchases.

4) (Possibly, depending on when you see me), a woman enough
shorter than me so I can rest my chin on the top of her head
accompanying me (my wife). She might be elsewhere, taking
photos of the models, or resting somewhere.

Enjoy,
DoN.

Cool. Nedra and I are in the "rogues gallery".

I'll most likely have on a John Deere hat and a Leather Jacket that says
Boeing on it (although it is in small print and almost the same color as
the jacket).

I didn't see this article until I got back, so I didn't know
what to look for. And you apparently did not spot me, so we missed this
time around.

We left around 3:30 on Saturday for the drive back home.

Well ... maybe Iron Fever later this year -- once the weather
gets hot. :-)

And Scott Logan was not there at all, for whatever reason.

Looking forward to finally seeing Cabin Fever after reading about it all
these years - and possibly meeting some of the folks from RCM.

Indeed so.

Enjoy,
DoN.
