Default Accusations that Sarah Palin is stupid

May have some basis. She is studiously avoiding any un-scripted
contact with media or any other engagement with any chance of having
to answer any unexpected questions.

Its not stupidity- if she strays off script and speaks her mind she
will be exposed for the deceitful, hateful, secretive, manipulative,
vengeful, small-minded oversight-and-accountability-avoiding racist
whackball that she is.

I have full confidence she is fairly intelligent, she's just not smart
enough to get away with it.

Anything else than that would be unexpected. Despite what all the right wing
pseudo pundits that have blanketed the air waves are saying about how
competent and qualified Palin is, the truth is she's a political neophyte. A
few years running a town of 5000 doesn't give one the experience needed for
a much higher job. That would be like saying a worker on the assembly line
is qualified to run GM. So since Palin has no real usable experience and she
has no real training or expertise in national politics she has to be managed
very closely by McCain's leadership team. At this point a major mistake by
Palin could sink the ticket so they're not going to let her have the chance
to screw up. She's going to be hand held and only exposed to what McCain's
people want her to. If Palin was like Joe Biden or Mitt Romney they wouldn't
have to do this but since she's like a helpless baby seal at this point she
needs a lot of protecting. Too bad McCain didn't pick a real candidate. If
he had none of this overprotecting of his VP pick would be necessary. That's
what happens when you don't pick someone with real political assets and
instead picked someone because they have tits and ass.

Whoever is running GM (into the ground) isn't qualified either. It might
not be a bad idea to let somebody off the line run the show.

Usually it's at the waist. "Lost" was particularly sloppy about

You insist on painting me that way, even though there is ample
evidence to the contrary. I don't like palin, so I must be far to the
left... rupert murdoch would be so proud, this was his stated reason
for starting fox news.

How does it feel to be a pawn, a tool, to be a dupe?
Must feel good, be quite tasty, you take any hint of the truth as
bitter medicine, indeed.

I give 25% odds she doesn't make it to the election, some scandal will
pop up out of the weeds.
I give 50% odds she'll be disgraced after the election, if they win.
I give 75% odds mccain doesn't make it through the 1st term, if
elected. Senility or a health crisis will take him out.
Or a code-pink nut that wants a woman president NOW.

They ALL have transmitters. That's how wireless mics work. Geeze,

Was I too subtle for you? I was referring back to the bulge in Bush's back,
which everyone surmised was an electronic link that helped him with the
stuff he didn't know.

Obviously, not EVERYONE surmises this. You are concluding things
without basis of fact. In fact, I have never seen such a bulge. To
use such a device would necessitate the use of an ear piece and I've
never seen him wearing one. Of course, I don't look at him any more
than absolutely necessary.

Since this is a hardware question, here's a picture.

http://lessig.org/blog/2004/10/too_pathetic.html

I have no confidence in the debating abilities of Mr. Bush; however,
this does not have the shape of a receiver, and if it were a receiver
anyone competent could have hidden it so it could not be seen. My guess
would be the wiring to the electrodes of a TENS unit.

It is no doubt a wireless mic transmitter that was used during the
"debates". I suspect that if you were to look, the other(s) had one
also. It could also be a rear seam on the bulletproof jacket that he
wears. Whatever it is, it is of no concern to the average American.
Some people just want to makea big deal out of anything they can, as
long as it's anti-Bush. Perhaps those same people should take a look
at the other side of the aisle. I'm sure you could find as many, if
not more, faults over there. Personally, I wish that you'd all quit
with the political crap on here. This is a metalworking group and
whether you are Republican of Democrat makes no difference. Take your
political stuff to a political group and leave this group to those who
want to talk and learn about metalworking. Thank you.

I don't consider disscussing the existance or not of a wireless mic to

Somehow there has been confusion about a wireless *transmitter* and a
wireless *receiver*. Transmitters are very common, and are seen in
handheld types (like what the candidates are typically holding when
they address a crowd) and the belt-pack types like the one you pointed
out, which are worn concealed usually under clothing but are sometimes
visible. Belt packs are used on actors, etc. along with a tiny
"lavaliere" microphone so that their dialog can be recorded for the
film or amplified for a stage production.

However, I think what people thought Bush might be wearing was some
kind of *receiver* allowing him to pick up cues from someone not in
the room. Here's what one of those looks like:

http://www.lectrosonics.com/ifb/r1a.htm

It's a similar size a shape to a transmitter, but has the opposite
function. As for the earpiece he might have or have not been wearing,
there are devices like:

http://www.coolest-gadgets.com/20070...ers-a-new-era/

These fit inside the ear canal and then receive a short range signal.

I'm not saying he was or was not - just that *if* he was, these are
the types of devices he could have used.
