The problem is I only have a hand drill and I'm not confident I can drill a hole bang on the rail axis. If the rod is skewed it'd be difficult to fit into the hole in the brick Drill the holes well oversized in the rail and the wall, and inject fixing resin into both holes, you can then push everything into place while the resin is still uncured. (not entirely sure why you need to fix the very end of the rail anyway, presumably its fixed to a perpendicular wall for most of the run?) -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |

Andy Burns wrote https://ironmongeryexperts.co.uk/65mm-saa-heavy-pattern-handrail-bracket.html That won't do it I'm afraid. You need to say why if you want useful answers. |

GB wrote: Well, the obvious solution is the one that Andy posted. Why does that not work? Because the rail meets the wall at 90 degrees, just like the platerer's hawk I gave as an example. That bracket just won't fit Presumably you mean that with that bracket the rail will be away from the wall instead of right up against the wall as you want it to be. |

Dome headed on top, counterbored underneath to conceal the nuts. You might want large diameter washers underneath to reduce the risk of rail splitting. |

Thanks. Is this any good? https://richardburbidge.com/shop/pro...onnector-mmwcs The profile of their rails is circular with a flat on one side rather than oval, but you may be able to adapt the end of your rail. They seem to have changed the design since I bought mine nearly 20 years ago. Mine have no flange, but attach to the wall with screws on the inside before the rail is fitted. Neater if you can find any anywhere. -- Cheers, Roger |

This sort of thing might be closer.Â* You could possibly modify two to make an oval recess, or shape your pole into a 50mm circle at the end... https://www.direct-fabrics.co.uk/50m...ench-grey.html That's a poor angle for the photo, like an optical illusion, my brain wanted to see it inside-out. |

I thought it was a poor design for a mouse's urinal. -- Cheers Clive |
