What a stupid system! Emails pass through several servers on the way and
can easily take a number of minutes to arrive. Indeed, our network only
checks for external emails once every three minutes!

Whilst I agree that 60 seconds is a very short window of opportunity - in reality, it has not been a problem for me. The email always arrives sufficiently speedily though I do manually check for email as the automatic check might miss it.

Just this morning got a delivery - and it was only ordered on the first of the month. Tracked all the way.

Not even sure the page was in French.

If they use a cap char they are breaking the law in many countries now in
any case. Are you sure it was the real site, and not just some bod

Not good for the blind though, they would need to use a five minute timer
for a blind person to listen to the code several times to memorise it then
type it back in. Anyone who tries that on me, loses my business.

Ironically logout after very short periods has been plaguing me on the Royal Mail site checking on items sent from AliExpress.

The AliExpress logout hasn't been much of an issue. And the GOT tracking works without logging in.

My banks use their app on my phone, a 2FA validator on my phone or an SMS to verify/validate what I do. None uses an email.

Yes, certain - I entered the Ali website URL, managed (eventually) to
order my parts and I am now able to track the items.

Wouldn't HMRC notice - number of packages going through customs clearance (which should mostly be a simple scan) = large number; VAT paid = a small number, approaching zero.

Of course, that would imply a degree of confidence... And who knows how the VAT collected is married up with declared value?

I had problems a couple of days ago logging into an account.

Part of the login required a "postal district" to be entered. It
rejected my first two attempts with no clue to which field was
incorrect. In the end I discovered that the full postcode was the
problem - the site only wanted the first part of the postcode.

actually specify 'free delivery' (which of course actually means
delivery included in price) when you search for things.

The Chinese government sees fit to make postage for small items for
overseas export, free, or nearly so.

It's a form of social security - people can make pin money exporting
stuff that is made in zillions in China. So they get subsidised *if they
