Ive been asked to replace the flexible mounts on a portable water pumpset, which is most likely an ex firefighting pump.The unit is mounted in a carry frame and the engine/pump coupling housing bears a stencil OMD 80 the whole thing being painted in military drab green.
No doubt it'll be an obsolete item but hopefully someone might recognise the unit. There are instruction plates attached but none bear makers identity info. Thoughts anyone? |

OMD 80 is a 10W/30 detergent multigrade: so probably the appropriate engine oil. I would simply be looking for something about the same size and shape. Automotive engine mountings are probably too big, perhaps exhaust mountings? Huge variety of engine and gearbox mountings available in the boating world (just watch out for Chandlers' pricing). |

Thanks for a very useful suggestion. Having followed a few Google links for marine mounts I've discovered low cost bobbin mounts which with a bit of drilled ms plate should serve admirably.
UK diy wins again! |
