I thought it was quite funny. TW |

Of course they were happier, more innocent times, when ukip were just fools and buffoons to be laughed at for their pomposity, before tose bloody Tories invited them into the mainstream. TW |

They are? We have been told that many people voted to leave the EU 'as a protest vote', not because they *actually* wanted all of us to leave the EU or support UKIP. So many people who voted to Leave were protesting about / attacking about something, those who voted Remain were protecting something. That something was in a large part the unknown. and not being willing to gamble our cow for (what are still, 3+ years later) only magic beans. Cheers, T i m |

That something was in a large part the unknown. and not being willing to gamble our cow for (what are still, 3+ years later) only magic beans. istm 2 things happened since the days when you could laugh at farage and ukip. 1 - you always knew that racists were ukip supporters but that ukip wasn't a racist party. That isn't so any more. They are a proper nasty right wing racist party now. 2 - Their nutty half baked ideas like blaming everything bad on immigrants and leaving the EU were taken up by Conservatives (shame on them). I guess it was convenient to have someone to blame all your failed policies on. Everything wrong with the Tory record, schools, NHS, economy, anything could be blamed on Immigrants and the EU. That gave the ideas respectability and even sensible news outlets felt they had to start giving credence to ideas which deserved none. Of course they are still buffoons and clowns. Just dangerous ones now. TW |

Nope, vox pop answers (for starters). The royal WE? The 'we' as the people (who heard it being mentioned / discussed). Told by who? Whoever was running the poll / show that I saw. You wouldn't have seen any of that sort of thing of course as you *only* get your 'information' from those sites that massage your existing prejudices. Cheers, T i m |
