Default OT Only one job to do today and the Vulcan Bomber

So I will time the job for 3pm when the Vulcan takes off close to back of
the house I am working at - and I'll take the gf's lad to see it.

BTW the Vulcan will be in Bournemouth at about 4pm if anyone from the
newsgroup lives there. This new display was only anounced last night.

I'm fairly certain a saw a Vulcan flying over my back garden in North
Manchester when I was small. My dad told me it was a Vulcan Bomber, it
was a black triangle such as I had never seen before.

It was much the same time as any helicopter seen was Basil de Ferranti
commuting to work.

Not bad. It left Doncaster at 14.40. Gf's lad looked a little bored as we
waited. He cheered up when it took off - he loved the noise.

Any chance you can take this private!

I wasn't aware of it going to Scarborough, I made a trip to
Blackpool to see it and the weather cancelled it, the rest of the
displays are in the Deep South, Far West, Irishland or
Scottishland, none of which are of any use to a large swathe of the
country.

Unfair!

This is pretty central, or at least reachable by motorway and truck
road:
http://www.iwm.org.uk/sites/default/...6%20August.pdf

Make that 'trunk' road a.k.a. A14.

Duxford ain't on the A14

Its off the M11 on the A505.

And from Yorkshire you would use the A14 to get to the M11. About 2 hours
drive for me unless it's rush hour.

well you don't need to use the A14 at all.

you could go down to Baldock on the A1 and take the 505 from there. Or
any point in between - there's the A428 as well or the OLD A1 to Royston..

We're staying close to Cambridge on the Friday and Saturday nights to
avoid having to drive all the way down on the day(s). We've visited
Cambridge before so will probably have a look at Ely.

Fingers crossed for decent weather. The Vulcan and BBMF were cancelled

Remember to take the fag out of your mouth, presumably with your third

Then throw the can at the offending cyclist.

wave the fag in front of the cyclist. He will pass out from the shock of

Then you steal the bike

I know how to confront this scum. I only meet the *******s when I'm taking
the dog out and I obstruct them when they are on the footpath. They then
go on the road and look back with their stupid gobs wide open in
amazement.
A brolly is difficult.
I have the dog's lead in one hand, a can of strong lager in the other hand
and a fag in my gob.
I'd welcome any help on this issue.

Join AA. I believe that they give good advice on how to hold a can of
Special Brew, a lit cig and a dog lead in one hand so that you can carry a
brolly in the other hand.

Mind you IMHO AA meetings would have a bigger following if they put a couple
of bottles of wine on the table for those attending the meetings.
