I'm afraid that there is a lot of hypocrisy about. Organisations like the
CPRE (whose survey this is) represent many people who live in a nice place,
like it and think that no-one else should live there. Those who need a new
house but can't afford one are bottom of their list of concerns. The green
belt should be a moveable boundary.

Rod Bull, Birmingham, UK

Most people no idea of land, its: ownership, usage, economics, how they are
at a disadvantage, etc, etc. If they did they would vote the other way. A
poll from people who are victims of propaganda is not worth a light. This
similar to having a poll in Germany in 1938 of who is the best leader in the
world.

If want to know about these things, just ask me.

If I wanted to know about these things, I would ask anybody else.

Your suggestion that the view of people who happen to disagree with
you is not worth counting because you think that they are victims of
some imagined propaganda is the typical justification of a dictator.

On your argument, I could suggest that Michael Howard be in 10 Downing
St. because the people that voted for the present incumbent were in
some way the victims of propaganda.

34 litres/minute @ 4.75bar

Now that would give a decent shower. ;-)

At a cost and that is a cheapo. Look at the proper pumps.

Why would I? I get a superb shower from a storage hot water system fed
from a header tank something like 5 metres above the shower, using
carefully made pipe runs in 22mm. Easily achieved in many houses.

Not everyone lives in a one bedroom council flat and wants a dribble for a
shower.

You also can imagine the idea of a hybrid with a low powered engine and
the battery flat on a long drive?

So can I - and the vast petrol cost.

23 mpg. Ridiculous. A nice '50s car would do far better at half the price.

And any modern one would p**s all over it.

Why scrap something you enjoy? But driving enjoyment doesn't enter your

Me too, for the everyday car.

BMW? It is getting worse now. How cheap and naff you are.

Low cost but not "a cheapo" They are better built than pumps costing

I just got bought a magnetic version of the "cool wall" for my birthday.
I can now recreate it on my fridge....

Thing is I may have to set asside a little space on the microwave since
that is the only thing magnetic far enough to the left of the fridge for
the prius to go on... ;-)

LOL..

Only thing is that is East from here - heading toward "sub zero" not
"uncool"... then again I suppose if I shifted it some 18k miles to the
