The methodology of the left has always been:

1. Lie
2. Repeat the lie as many times as possible
3. Have as many people repeat the lie as often as possible
4. Eventually, the uninformed believe the lie
5. The lie will then be made into some form oflaw
6. Then everyone must conform to the lie

I had a pretty good third of July. So the 4th
might be much the same.

One of these days, we should celebrate
Independance Day. Around this time of year,
I think?

Independence day indeed. Too many people are caught up with the idea
that the 4th / Independence day is a patriotic thing, which couldn't be
further from the truth. Independence day honors the brave souls who
staged an armed revolution and overthrew a government to declare
independence. Food for thought...

IIRC, July 4 1776 was the date of most of the guys
signing the Declaration of Independance. However,
it was 10 or so years later when England withdrew.

I learned in school, one of the trigger moments was
King George's stamp tax, half a cent or so on news
papers. Two centuries later, we have layers of taxes
and surveilance that would have made King George
envious.

I'll have to write my congressman, D-NY. Since we
no longer have guns in NYS after the Safe Act.

Armed with what? I thought the NY Safe Act pretty
much outlawed private ownership of guns. They are
all being shipped to NSA, DHS, TSA, FBI, ATF, and
the other TLA.

It has been a pleasant 4th of July for us.
We enjoyed our Independence Day is a birth day
and a day to reflect and remember.

"Stars and Stripes Forever" was one of the movies we watched.

We have the movie in Blu-Ray format and enjoyed the enhancement
over our old VHS.

We were a bit taken that the Boston Pops were not on TV, wonder
what shut that down to be televised and would like to know if
it was going on without us!

It was on the Boston CBS channel. This year they didn't mention going
national as they have previously. The nationally broadcast segment in
the middle of the longer concert disrupted the program. Anyway this
year it featured Boston-area talent, Ayla Brown, Susan Tedeschi and
Howie Day.

Inly cat scan I get is from Second Son's cat Kablooie - so named
because whenever anyone but him approaches, she sets a land speed
record to get under his bed, that was five years ago, now, when I walk
past, she stands on the back of the chesterfield demanding that I
scratch her tummy.

So, didja roast weenies over the propane burner, big guy?

I had hot dogs, coleslaw, and fired off some bangers, all my lonesome.
It was great. I needed a day away from people.

I did spend a couple of hours with one of my pups in my lap shivering
from the kids lighting fireworks. Strange, it didn't bother him last
year. The other one was concerned for his brother and had to snuggle
and lick his ears and eyes to comfort him...they are so sweet!

The grand kids brought home some of Californias typically lame
fireworks and were out in the street lighting them off last night. I
had to constrain 2 of the dogs because they were chasing the flaming
stars and whatnot. The local town put on their firewoks evening on
July 3...and as I was working in the back yard..could see the
skyrockets etc etc clearly overhead. Had 7-8 dogs out back with
me..and only one was concerned..the rest were either sitting and
watching the fireworks flowers overhead or paying them no attention
whatsoever.

But then...most have gone to the range with me at one time or
another...shrug

Didn't have any to roast, toast, boil or fry and my dad took the
portable propane stove when he moved out of my house years ago. We had
scrapped a slide in camper, and saved the stove/oven and built a cart
for it and the tanks.
