Inquiring minds want to know whether Sarah told McCain about this when
her candidacy was discussed.

I personally do not expect this to affect her ability to be a vice
president, five or six children does not make a lot of difference, it
is still a lot, but she thinks that she can manage.

I know that I could not be a vice president even with my two
children. But I am not running for one.

According to the noon TV news, he knew What difference does it
make, except to people with their head too far up Obama's ass? Is she
the only underage girl in the US to make that mistake?

The news also stated that she was going to keep the child, and marry
its dad.

Well that is true. I know a bunch of very religous types that I can point out their sins

Teenage pregnancy; another example of the family values the republicans are
always talking about? Oh sorry, I mean for other folks. Republicans have a
different set of values for themselves. You can ask "wide stance" Larry
Craig about that.

I have to disagree. The one good thing about Larry Craig is that
he will not make any girls pregnant.

Now, the point that we are all sinners, is well taken, but sinners who
use condoms, do not get pregnant. A good mother should explain that to her
teenage daughters, besides other admonitions.

Not yet. We're running a day late, because they screwed up our trailer

leave tomorrow morning.

I ****canned Cliff years ago, as well as Gunner more recently, due to their
habit of spewing political BS in this group.

Actually, one of Gunner's accounts has not been ****canned, because he tends
to restrict that particular account to metal topics, from which I have
learned much, and is the reason I come here.

Got any other observations you would like to share?

Look, everyone might make a little OT comment now and again, but I posted
the original reply after Iggy decided to start a number seperate political
threads, all on the same ****ing topic (McCain's VP) and all on the same
****ing day . That's just being selfish, and does nothing but discourage
otherwise useful posters from bothering to contribute here.

I like to be bad once in a while, but generally try to post more about
metal than non-metal. Say, what do you think is the "real" resolution
of a mill with a glass scale DRO?

Well, that's a bit too advanced a topic for me right now, although it is one
I will likey entertain once I get to the point of getting my own mill. For
now I have other issues to work out, the (currently) most pressing of which
is how to rough in an overhead door. I think I may have had a breakthrough
last night, where I came across the simple observation that the rough width
is exatly the same width of the door itself. It seems so simple now, but
that's how things usually work themselves out.

Wrong. The rough -in dimension is width of door + 1-1/2 to 1-3/4" The jambs
will shrink the opening to door width and the stops and wx-strip will bear
against the door. The height of the rough opening is + 7/8" for obvious
reasons. When you install the door raise the verticle tracks 3/4" off the
floor. It keeps the tracks out of the water on the floor and gives you a
better chance of the door raising out of the opening. Good luck and have
fun.

Now we see the down side of home schooling. No class on how to put a condom
on a cucumber is taught in home school. You wouldn't think that would matter
much, but the utility of a skill like that has now become very apparent. I
wonder if the girl was playing hooky the day her Mom was supposed to teach
her about abstinence? Obviously, she didn't get that lesson.

I doubt he knows the answer to that any more than I do. But the thing is,
what's wrong with having other threads going besides metal related ones?
Can't people talk about more than one thing at a time on a newsgroup? I
don't post any metal related content because I don't know that much about
metalworking to contribute to people who know a lot more than me. But I do
read the metal related posts of others and have learned a lot from them. So
whether I'm learning something I didn't know about metal or about the antics
of the Palin family I don't see anything wrong with discussing both topics
at the same place. I don't know what's wrong with the guys who can't stand
anything but metal content except they have to be a bunch of babies. After
all, if you don't want to discuss anything besides metal content nobody is
forcing them to.
