The more I prayed, the more the answer came back "NO!" I ran into lie
after lie after changed writings after changed propositions after
changed prophecies.

Then a 20 year or so break from all religions during which pagan

That, too, was unfulfilling.

Then, a simple explanation of the plan of salvation, Jesus, and the
requirements to got to Heaven, and it all came into focus. I had been
looking too deeply and closely. Many times our answers are right under
our noses in plain sight. We are just too smart or educated to get it.

The answer is in plain sight, in the bible. It says plainly how to
pray. Seek, and you will find. But your faith discounts and discards

that is).

They are very decent people that I greatly admire and
respect, even though I chose the Christian path over the
Mormon path.

Whatever you may think of their religion, admire them
for their "Works". Mormons are the first to show up
whenever there is a natural disaster. Their family
values mean we don't have to pay for prisons to
house their kids.

And, don't be disrespectful or other people's religions.

to turn your back on your neighbor when he is in grave
peril.

Also, the Lord prescribed the death penalty and commanded
to go off to war only a few paragraphs later. If "kill"

now follow plain vanilla Christianity. But you have to give it to them,
as you say. If the whole world was like them, it would be a far better
world. They are simply scripturally misdirected.

go out and pop others over their head (extortion through
the color of authority) to extract charity from them
to do good works while they sit in church and not raise
a finger of their own to help others. Charity not
freely given is not charity. And, Christ demands
that we, not someone else, especially not under duress, raise
our own fingers to help others. And by "others", that means
all others, not just our own kind. It is as simple as
letting someone merge in front of you in traffic.

And the Mormons do shame us in their works. But hey,
a little competition won't hurt us. (I think that the
Salvation Army gives them a good run for their money!)

It hurts my heart that Mormons do not know the real
Jesus. But they do try to follow his teachings (well,
most of them).

This new Pope in the Vatican seems to be turning a lot of heads.

He seems to be one to practice exactly what he preaches, and he preaches exactly what he thinks and feels. He seems to be a true desciple of Christ.

I wish him the best.

And, I wish that he's able to bring about some sort of lasting peace in the Middle East now that he's chosen that forum to engage in.
