Why, do you prefer children?

Chris: No, I stopped being eighteen about thirty years ago.
Now, I'm being forty eight.

That's the day I was born.

LOL. I'll try that line next time I'm at a store like that. Or maybe
I'll print up some cards with it.

Would you like the extended warranty?

I don't have an extender.

Would you like to put this on your Fry's card?
Did you find everything you were looking for?

You'd be surprised. Many do it to validate their existence - they
matter to someone. I've seen people in line with 20 or more of those
little tags on a special keychain. It's the same sort of pathology
that drives people to collect 10,000 "friends" on facebook.

RiteAid, and others, are more than willing to feed this mental defect
in return for the loyalty of folks giving them money.

I prefer to give my business to companies not building databases of everything I
buy. I just don't want to encourage them.

I ALWAYS gave them the store's #, which is printed on the coupons they

Not ONCE did a cashier even flinch. You'd think one of them would
recognize the phone # at their own job.

No wonder they're out of business...

just give out (your area code) 867-5309.

I doubt there's any cashiers old enough to get it.

p.s.

There's a yahoo email address

tommyt8675309

Owned it for years. Never check it unless I need a valid junk address.

You fill out the form with fake everything, but remember the fake
phone number you use. You just need to give them the fake phone
number.

And never pay with anything that would identify you - even once. No CC, no
checks.

Paying with a check is a very bad idea of course, for multiple reasons,
but when you use a credit card the store has your name and account
number but the bank doesn't provide them with your address, phone
number, SSN, or e-mail address. They can't find out much about you
unless you have a really unique name and a lot of time.

Yup, it comes down to their roof = their rules, provided they're within the
law. Anyone who doesn't like the conditions of a discount card or return
policy or whatever is free to shop elsewhere. If enough people take their
business elsewhere then the company will change its policies or go out of
business, unless of course it's a monopoly.

Some people are dumb enough to have the SS printed on the check!!!
yup, I've seen it.

A hundred years ago, perhaps, when DL#s and student ID# were SSNs.

OT. Washington state finally removed the SSN from the driver's

I remember that maybe 25 or 30 years ago, when the merchant would write
all sorts of thing on the checks, or when your SSN was also your student
number in college and they would write the SSN on the check if you
didn't have it printed on it. Now I think the check printers won't print
it even if you request it because in many states it's against the law to
mail anything to someone that has their SSN on it.
