I've still got a spare element but I could do with a spare magnastat. I'll give their site a look. Dave |

GREAT BRITAIN Cooper Tools Suite 15, Coniston House Town Centre Washington, Tyne & Wear NE38 7RN Tel: (0191) 419 7700 Fax: (0191) 417 9421 Heck, that's 10 minutes away from me by car! I can't believe I didn't know that! To be pedantic, the county of Tyne And Wear was abolished years ago, but people are very slow to get used to this fact. It's now Washington, Sunderland. Some people in Washington won't accept it and still use the old address. To any Americans who are following this thread and wondered about the 'Washington' reference, here's a little tidbit of info- Washington, Sunderland was the ancestral home of George Washington's family and indeed the house is still there. We have a major road in Sunderland called 'Wessington way'. Wessington was the 'olde English' form of 'Washington'. The local football (soccer) team (Sunderland AFC) play in red and white stripes, the colours from the Washington crest which also make up the Stars and Stripes. You can all wake up now ;-) Dave |

Even RS sell to anyone with a credit card. They seem to, and I've not been thrown out of a 'trade centre' yet (and nabbed the free 100cwt paper catalog!), but the following is in their selling T&C's. "RS is a business-to-business supplier. The RS website is intended for use by business customers and not for consumers or private individuals. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions of sale shall affect the statutory rights of a Customer who deals as a consumer." The above is worded so you wonder, do they - or don't they? I wish we had something like Frys in the US! -- Adrian C |

There are some businesses in Washington who claim it's a Newcastle address! The fact that several miles, the town of Gateshead and a river seperate Newcastle and Washington, and that Washington is officially inside the boundaries of the City of Sunderland doesn't stop them! The above is worded so you wonder, do they - or don't they? IIRC, you have to register before you can buy off the website - but that's all. A private name and address is ok. Registering also lets you download spec sheets, etc. -- *There are two sides to every divorce: Yours and **** head's* Dave Plowman London SW To e-mail, change noise into sound. |
