Staining exterior wood door question
Should the top/bottom/sides get stained & polyurethaned also or should
they be left alone for the wood to 'breathe'? |

yes seal tops and bottoms
door mfg will void warrantee if you don't also they will split and warp wrote in message oups.com... Should the top/bottom/sides get stained & polyurethaned also or should they be left alone for the wood to 'breathe'? |

In another forum a suggestion was to remove the door latch mechanism
and seal the wood there as well as top/bottom. Hinge rabbets also for the anal.
