I know this was meant pretty much as an insult , but I tend to think
that's the way to go. Wwhy pay £3,000 on a 'nice' casket just so it can
be burned . Cardboard box seems fine or in my, non-religous, case (when
you are dead that is it) why not a black placcy bag to keep the juices
in till I get cremated.

You could even leave your body to 'medical science' (a euphenism for
some group of spotty Herberts/Herbertesses using your body for anatomy
practice, on their way to becoming doctors.
