You're right, there is a notable lack of traffic on here. As an otherwise lurker on this group, the low volume of interesting new posts is making my commute to work rather dull.
For want of anything better to say, my New Year resolution is to spend more time in the "Land of unfinished projects" (i.e. the garage/workshop) and get my accumulated junk in order. New multi-compartment plastic storage boxes already bought, in readiness. With more efficient use of space, I will create extra room to accommodate even more crap that I will inevitably buy/inherit/pinch from skips during 2017. Terry. |

True, but I think that the way the news is panning out, everybody now knows the score on Islam, migration, renewable energy and brexit, apart from those who are so deep in denial that they cannot admit that the only good thing that happened last year was Donald trump got elected and we decided to try and leave the EU... |

I just bypass stuff I don't want to read. its only text takes up little room
unlike crap web sites which is overblown slow twaddle most of the time. I think the web designer has lost the whole idea of hypertext. the point is not to make it into some art form or a learning curve to try to confuse the user, but to link bits of text together across the web intelligently. I've had a bad back since last spring - bad lower back sciatica - which could end up with surgery but I hope not. So I have not been able to do much DIY. I have just ordered some bits to finish off the kitchen - a bridging unit over fridge freezer. SWMBO is also nagging me to get the electrics finished and signed off - I never seem to quite finish anything. I have been doing music-related DIY, including investigating Virtual Pipe Organs, if anyone is interested. Anyway, Happy New Year all. I do hope to post on here a bit more - not that I added that much to the body of knowledge anyway (shrugs?) Simon. |
