Nope, not when its warm it aint.

Doesn't happen with air central heating, stupid.

I'll stick to stationary heating thankyou.

Why do you want to heat your stationary, stupid ?

Learn the difference between stationary and stationery.

MUCH cheaper to do, MUCH less maintenance
required, lasts MUCH longer, etc etc etc.

There must be a reason it hasn't taken off here.

Nope. We use reservoirs.

Doesn't say anything like 'just like water', liar.

Top Tip. If someone shoves your feet in a fire, quickly put your head in a bucket of iced water. On average, you will be pretty comfortable.

That's not necessarily true either, particularly
when its where the occupants are quite a bit
of the time instead of where the stat is, which is
where they spend quite a bit of the time too.

Plenty who don't 'live' in tiny little hovels do move
around quite a bit in much bigger houses and can
do that based on the weather and time of year too.

And that is wasting heat if there is no one there.

Plenty don't like farting around with the TRV
every time they come into the room for a bit.

But you wanted no stat and just TRVs.

Like hell I ever did. YOU were the one actually stupid
enough to claim that that was a viable approach. It aint.

I have never wanted just TRVs.

Never said you did. We were clearly discussing using just
those where there werent stats. Stats and occupancy sensors
everywhere that's used much for long makes a lot more sense.

In****ingdeed! *I* am the one who likes room stats. YOU are the one who
likes TRVs!

Everyone can see for themselves that you are lying, as always.

I prefer room stats.

But was stupidly claiming that just one or a couple is all you need.

That's only true of a tiny little hovel.

No,

Yep.

it's also true of people who aren't wanting the temperature of rooms to
keep changing.

And that's only true of a tiny little hovel
if you care about the cost of the heating.

Anywhere else, it makes no sense to be heating
what isnt occupied, and only a fool like you would
propose using TRVs to do that when stats and
occupancy sensors do that MUCH more effectively.

And they pay for themselves in no time in saved heating costs too.

Each room is allocated a comfortable temperature.

And that's stupid when it isnt in use.

You put the room stat in the one you've allocated the highest temperature,
and use TRVs in all the others.

And that doesn't work either when the heating needs of some
areas varys dramatically with the weather and time of year.

In spades when the house is passive solar to very dramatically
reduce the cost of heating.

Adding a stat doesn't make things any more difficult. It just
switches off the boiler and pump when nothing needs heat.

And it isnt even possible for a single stat to decide that
with most houses that are more than a tiny little hovel.

It is if you're not so ****ing fussy that you want different
temperatures in every room.

That does make sense with high fuel costs and other than a tiny little
hovel.

Here's a hint, try insulating your house.

Still makes no sense to be paying for heating areas
that arent occupied with other than a tiny hovel.

My boiler is rarely on, even in winter (unless I leave the door open).

Because you have a tiny little hovel.

Few are actually stupid enough to 'live' like that.

The bigger your house the more money you have to spend on fuel anyway.

Wrong as always with a well designed central heating system and
passive solar which only pays for heating whats currently occupied etc.

I have a MUCH bigger house than you do and pay sweet **** all for
heating and cooling.

You misunderstood.

Wrong, as always.

When I said "have", I meant you have more money, because you're rich,
because you have a big house.

I don't have a big house because I am rich. I have
a big house because I physically built it myself.

Therefore you don't give a **** about high heating costs.

Wrong, as always.

People who buy a Ferrari don't grumble about the fuel consumption.

Plenty who have more than a tiny little hovel do have
enough of a clue to not heat parts of the house that
arent occupied to save on their heating costs.

Some even have much more a clue than you do and
design the house from scratch for very effective passive
solar that reduce their heating costs very effectively indeed.

But any passive solar system does need heat at some time,
most obviously during a blizzard that lasts for a week or more
or even just a very heavy overcast and rain for a week or more.

And while you can certainly reduce your heating costs
to almost zero by 'living' in what is essentially a very
well insulated cool room, there are **** all that are
actually stupid enough to 'live' like that all year around.

**** all are actually stupid enough to 'live' like that even
just in the times of the year when heating is needed.

Wrong, as always.

No it isn't.

Corse it is.

If you ask a random person

This isnt asking a random person, stupid.

something 30 times and get the same answer, you'd be pretty convinced
that was normal.

You'd likely get the answer that some god or other exists with 30
people asked at random. Doesn't mean any god does exist tho.

No you wouldn't. You'd probably get about 20.

Not a chance if the selection was random.

If you were in the bible belt of the US maybe, anywhere normal you have
large numbers of atheists.

There isnt anywhere where the percentage of atheists is all that high.

Say you asked a DIY question in here, and 30 people replied with the
same answer, and nobody replied with another one.

That never happens, even with just 10 answering.

But if it did, you'd know it was the correct answer.

Nope. Just like it wouldn't be with the god question either.

Yip.

Nope, fido.

If 30 people agree on something, you can be pretty sure it's right.

Wrong, as always. Most obviously with the god question.

Hint - how many people sit on a jury?

Irrelevant to that particular question.

Lot cheaper than now, particularly if you are stupid enough
to use oil for heating. We gave up on that decades ago now.

My parents use oil for heating,

No one here does anymore.

because they don't have gas piped in up there.

Plenty of places don't have piped gas here too.

Not many other fuels to choose from.

Doesn't have to be PIPED with gas.

You don't have piped oil, stupid.

As below: "I suggested a gas tank, but my dad doesn't like the idea of an
explosion".

Your jeans are your problem, fido.

I suggested a gas tank, but my dad doesn't like the idea of an
explosion. Electricity is much more expensive.

Mind you if I can smell the oil (right the way across the garden), I
would have thought a lit match in the wrong place could be a little
nasty.

Never heard of anyone having a problem with oil in the days when we did
use it.

The most I ever got myself was the oil air heater could start
with a bit of a whoompf first time it was lit in the winter.

Whoompf :-)

Unlike you, I didn't load my pants.

I have never done so.

Another lie. Even you must have done that when a little kid, fido.

That evolved out of us eons ago.

Completely off with the ****ing fairys, as always.

Because few are very keen on it sitting in the middle of the
main living room, particularly in the hottest parts of summer.

Mine is in the kitchen.

Mine is in one of the bathrooms.

The point is you put it where you're wanting some heat.

Not when its very well insulated you don't.

Plenty of ours are outside.

To get rusty,

Nope. There are funky systems for doing metal so it doesn't rust, fido.

great idea.

Yep, don't waste the space inside.

Corse there is. The water doesn't get heated by magic, stupid.

Exactly, so why did you write "**** all are silly enough to use
boilers and radiators here".

Concentrate on the word AND, stupid.

Try to phrase things better then.

Get ****ed.

I forgot Aussies can't write very good English.

Leaves yours for dead, hairy legged barbarian in a dress.

There's a reason even the Romans just walled you barbarians off.

Even you should be able to work out how to stop that heat
getting to the motor is someone was actually stupid enough
to lend you a seeing eye dog and a white cane.

Enlighten me clever clogs

Some are too stupid to be enlightenable.

(not that shoes can be clever).

Corse they can with amputees.

You just have an insulated shaft between
the motor and the pump, stupid.

The casing is metal.

Doesn't have to be.

Mine is so there.

Your problem, as always.

After a while the heat will get to the motor,

Nope.

no insulation is 100%.

**** all gets to the motor compared with what the
motor produces internally when running, stupid.

Doesn't make any measurable difference.

If the water is cooler than the motor,

It isnt.

that will cool it from it's own produced heat.

And when it isnt, it wont.

My pond pump works that way.

Pity you CH pump doesn't.

Its true anyway. **** all brain surgeons have more than one.

Even my GP (general family doctor) has 5.

**** all brain surgeons do.

I don't believe you.

Its true anyway.

Our most famous one only has 2.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Teo

Some people may be naturally gifted.

None of ours need 5 degrees to do brain surgery.

Or to be a GP either.

Otherwise GPs would become brain surgeons and earn more money.

Mindlessly silly. It isnt the number of degrees you
have that allows you to be a brain surgeon, stupid.

What is it then.

All you need is just one, and appropriate training in brain surgery, stupid.

Your GP is just a uni bludger.

I've called him worse names than that.

Your problem.

Yes, but even someone as stupid as you should be able work out which
are the ****ed bits with massive brain injury due to a gunshot etc.

I assume great skill is required in assessing hat you can and cannot
cut, how to quarterise, etc.

You're wrong, as always.

Prove it.

Shoot yourself in the head and I will arrange to
have the surgery videod and put on youtube.

Use something with a bit of horsepower like a magnum.

So you don't have any proof then and want me to construct some for you.

Wrong, as always.

Even you should have noticed its about
the answer to your stupid question, stupid.

Which was weeks ago.

You got altzhiemers already ?

Why would I remember a conversation in a newsgroup? It's not exactly
life threatening.

Plenty of what I remember isnt life threatening either, stupid.

I selectively remember important things.

Another bare faced lie.
