I found out the gas supplier from M power but not sure about electric and thought someone here might have come across this ? Ask who lives there. Look in the HIP if it's for sale. Wait and see what bills turn up. Do M power know who have the electric bill? MPAN Request (Meter Point Administration Number Request) If you are trying to obtain your MPAN to enable you to transfer electricity supplier(s) you can do this in number of ways: * MPAN from existing energy bill : If you have an existing electricity bill for your property you should be able to find your MPAN. MPANs are often printed at the bottom of the first page of your bill or on the reverse of the front page. * MPAN from a DNO MPAS Service: You can obtain your MPAN from the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) who is responsible for the distribution network for your area. If you telephone the Distribution company for your area they will be able to provide you with the 13 digit MPAN core over the telephone. In most cases this should be enough information to arrange the transfer of your electricity supply, it is also worthwhile asking that they send the information to you - that way you will also receive the full MPAN. I've not had any trouble with Scottish Power and they (for me) are one of the cheapest suppliers (standing charge, online, paperless, fixed monthly direct debit). Noticeably cheaper than BG. -- Cheers Dave. |

For me they are also the cheapest. In terms of 'getting what you pay for' the key issue is the reliability of the supply, and that is determined by the local 'PES'. EDF were obliged to send me £50 because the supply had been so irregular. There is minimal incentive for them to provide a more reliable supply. -- Michael Chare |

British Gas are next-to-bottom (above Npower) in this survey: http://www.which.co.uk/media/popup/t...on-155947.html Richard. http://www.rtrussell.co.uk/ |
