Hi can any of you people help? I've got a Zanussi Jetstream 1200 FJS1225W washing machine with a problem....It stops 10 mins from the end of the complete cycle then we have to press the skip button to move it forward, the water then drains out and continues onto the spin cycle, then just 5 mins from the end of the complete cycle the machine stops again this time the skip button will not move it on. Thespin appears to reach full speed so I don't think it's the motor brushes. Has anyone got any ideas what it could be? Cheers Paul W X-posted to uk.d-i-y, where a man who sells spares hangs out... our Bosch DW sopped with 1 min to go on the cycle . it was a symptom
of insufficient water due to gunged up pipe that recycles the water. Dont know if itas the same, but the symptoms were similar |

Andy My FJ1295 had similar problems. When I dismantled it the recirculation pipe was totally blocked, the recirculation pump was gunged-up (and dead) and the large junction/filter box at the front was also just about full of gunk. The problem that made me investigate was an intermittent stopping like yours, the actual cause was gunk from the junction box going up the pipes to the pressure sensors and acting as one way delay valves. It's a straightforward job to take it all apart and degunge. To get access, lie the machine on its side (the one nearest the soap tray otherwise water runs into the programmer); you don't need to split the case but it makes it slightly easier. HTH Dave |
