I have a problem with my Zanussi FJD1466 washer in that when it's switched
on it is continually attempting to pump water out. This continues from what I can see indefinitely. Sometimes it takes fresh water from the supply, other times it doesn't. I was advised by a local washing machine engineer that this can be caused by a siphon effect, however I have done all I can see necessary to clear this (raising drain hose, disconnecting supply and switch on etc. etc). The other thing the machine does is when the power is first switched on the door lock makes a loud buzz for just a moment. The door locks and the pumping starts. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Brett |

Thanks Brett It sounds to me like it is the pressure switch You will find a small bore tube coming from the bottom of drum to a Round Plastic switch about 55mm in dia. Pull the tube off make sure it is clear. Blow up the Pressure Switch you should hear 2 clicks. Reconect and switch on and see if OK! BigGuyUK |

Thanks for the advice. After a bit of a search I found this, although it's
at the top of the machine. Blew in to it and got 2 clicks. The pipe is definately clear but unfortunately the machine's still not working. Cheers "BigGuyUK" wrote in message ...
