Looking for an abrasive stick
Paul M laid this down on his screen :
I want to get some sort of pencil-sized stick with an abrasive end. I saw a pencil with a glass fibre abrasive but that is said to be very coarse. Is there something which I can hold my own wet-or-dry paper or perhaps dishwashing abrasive at the end of a small stick? How about a bit of 1/4 square wood, profile the business end then cut a diagonal slot into which the wet and dry will fit or simply hold the paper in place with an elastic band? -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk |

Maybe he's looking for a fibreglass pencil like what RS sell extremely effective and not really coarse -- geoff |

Fibre glass pencils aren't "coarse" and are highly useful. Another one of my favourites is a Garryflex block. Cut slices and glue them to wooden sticks for working inside small spaces. |
