Default Looking for an abrasive stick

Paul M laid this down on his screen :
I want to get some sort of pencil-sized stick with an abrasive end.

I saw a pencil with a glass fibre abrasive but that is said to be
very coarse.

Is there something which I can hold my own wet-or-dry paper or
perhaps dishwashing abrasive at the end of a small stick?

How about a bit of 1/4 square wood, profile the business end then cut a
diagonal slot into which the wet and dry will fit or simply hold the
paper in place with an elastic band?

Fibre glass pencils aren't "coarse" and are highly useful.

Another one of my favourites is a Garryflex block. Cut slices and glue
them to wooden sticks for working inside small spaces.

Also agreed (though I didn't know the 'Garryflex' name, thanks)

Apart from the bits that fly off and get into your skin?
