Default The new regs

I'm just wondering where some housing associations and estate agents
repairs blokeys stand on this as most are odd job repair men?

If anything went wrong and they happened to have not used suitably
qualified workers then there would be some questions to be answered.

Most of the workmen would be covered by some sort of liability insurance.

If the problem was electric, gas, or some other regulated acitivity

IME the bulk of minor maintenance work is water plumbing related or very
minor electricals (eg. pendant fitting replacements). Much of the rest is
minor carpentry and door furniture.

Heating usually requires registered gas fitters.

Things like decorating and dealing with damp etc. are usually scheduled to
larger companies.

A local managing estate agent will usually have a stack of 'repair
blockeys' they know and will choose the one they think will best deal
with the job.
