downloaded *is* an evaluation version.

This is very common. Most software is available for donwload with some
restrictions for free like this.

that was posted here. The former also requires a log-in; the one that
was posted here doesn't. That's not to say it definitely isn't a

Doesn't seem to be. Downloaded and installed it.
Reset PC date to 2006, PSP still works.
Appears to be the full retail version of PSP 9.1.
Maybe put there as a fix for a customer?
