Metal straightening Problem
I'm trying to determine if there is a way to straighten bracket used for holding a plexiglass cover.
http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps6jwszqmr.jpg http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/l...psgxd9cvrl.jpg It was worse than what is shown in the pics, but I still need to get it to the point were I can use it. (I'm assuming it would require heating). It has to be stripped and painted also, but if I can't make it straight then it is of no use to me, so I'm wondering how those here would go about it. Thanks a lot. Darren Harris Staten Island, New York. |

What's the matter with just inserting a piece of flat bar stock into the channel, and just _bending_ it to whatever alignment you want? Then crimp the channel shut however much you need. LLoyd "...crimp the channel shut..."? Do you mean in a vise? I'll give it a shot. Thanks. Darren Harris Staten Island, New York. |

Lloyd Ok, I picked up some parallel pliers, but I'm not sure if the jaws at long enough to be effective. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171858617678 I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
