Default Metal straightening Problem

I'm trying to determine if there is a way to straighten bracket used for holding a plexiglass cover.

It was worse than what is shown in the pics, but I still need to get it to the point were I can use it. (I'm assuming it would require heating).

It has to be stripped and painted also, but if I can't make it straight then it is of no use to me, so I'm wondering how those here would go about it.

Thanks a lot.

Do you mean in a vise? I'll give it a shot.

Or even with parallel-jaw pliers.

Lloyd

Or a small hammer and an anvil.

Darren, strip it, find (or grind) a dolly to fit the slot, and hammer
& shrink it straight again. Now prime and paint.

Of course, if you have access to a brake, it might be better to just
fold a new one.

Ok, I picked up some parallel pliers, but I'm not sure if the jaws at long enough to be effective.

I'll give it a shot.

Thanks.
