Chevy vehicle question for the motorheads

You don't stay clear of LinkedIn and you lie frequently to cover what you truly are. ================================================= =============== [Ed] Nonsense. I've been on LinkedIn about a dozen times in the past six months, usually because someone I know has asked if I would do so. That's why I have a minimal profile. I don't want anything to do with it. It's a waste of time As a sterling example, it's wasting what little there is of your life. Do you have a real job yet? When you actually did work, you used to talk about it all the time. All you do now is dodge the question from everyone who asks you what you do. ================================================= =============== The fact is that you don't have any serious industry connections and your LinkedIn profile shows this. ================================================= =============== [Ed] Unlike you, Jon, I have *real* industry connections, with whom I'm either emailing or talking with on the phone all the time. Last week I was in Chicago for meetings with some of them. Yours are online connections -- as thin and as meaningless as a can of compressed air. ================================================= =============== You also fail to understand how to properly use business social networking. You will never understand how to properly use business social networking until it's too late. I'd argue that time is already here for you. ================================================= =============== [Ed] Jon, I'm one of the best-known metalworking magazine editors in the country. I don't need your kind of connections. I have real ones. ================================================= =============== You're a loser in a dying business. The business of taking advertising money and then writing bull**** articles about those businesses and pretending to be objective is in deep trouble. Social business networking has changed the entire market. You and the business you're in are headed for extinction and it can't happen soon enough. :) ================================================= =============== [Ed] I'm doing just fine, Jon. And, unlike you, I have a real job, with plenty of other opportunities if I should want them. You have no understanding of magazine editing. Your fantasies are not a substitute for knowledge. I won't touch linked in or facebook or any social media. I waste enough time on email and here. ================================================== =============== [Ed] I have a young editor who takes care of that. People keep telling me I have to be there. But I see very little of interest on social media. It looks like a place to pretend you have a lot of friends, when you don't have real ones. However, I do like to follow a few people on Twitter. But I've never posted a tweet (is someone who tweets known as a twit? Is the past-pluperfect tense of tweet, "had ****"?) -- Ed Huntress |

Being opinionated and persistent is what I'm known for. Those who hire me like those qualities and want to exploit them. slow Eddy can't ignore me. He's tried many times for well over a decade and failed every time. Anyone care to guess why? :) Finally, thanks for proving once again that Mark Wieber clique of idiot members like you are too stupid to know how to use a newsgroup filter. |

When you do reread this thread you will see just how badly I kicked your worthless, lying ass to the curb... again! I suggest that before you do the reread that you take some very strong pain relievers because the hurt I put on you in this thread is epic. |

It comes from the same sense of beaten-down fatalism that leads him to say he doesn't mind being arrested. It's bogus, but what else can he say, with his mug shot archived on the Web? Jon reminds me of an 80-pound blue shark I tussled with out at Montauk around 20 years ago. I was using a fresh-water spinning outfit with 8-pound line. That shark was not the sharpest fin in the water; he'd run for a dozen yards and then change direction, like Jon does when he doesn't want to answer a question. The shark didn't realize that his escape would be to run in one direction until he'd run my line out. But he just got it in his head that going in a different direction every few flips was the way to do it, and he wore himself out swimming in all directions. He never gained any line. After almost an hour of this I was getting bored, the shark was getting tuckered out, and we decided to end it. We brought him to the boat, with just 8-pound line and an 8-foot steel leader, and I cut the leader at the hook. He was too shot to try bringing him over the side; he probably wouldn't have recovered. So the shark, realizing there was no tension on him, gave one big flip of his tail and took off. Now we'll cut the leader, Jon will give one flip of his tail, and he can head back to LinkedIn, where he gets along because he can make postings disappear when he doesn't like them. Thanks, John. And adios, Jon-jon. -- Ed Huntress |

And adios, Jon-jon. -- Ed Huntress slow Eddy just can't seem to grasp that many people know exactly who I am and what I'm all about. :) This fact makes it even more fun for me as I rattle slow Eddy's cage and jerk his chain. It's easy to do with idiots like slow Eddy who pretend that they know and understand the modern, high-tech, CNC job shop business/the CADCAM business. Slow Eddy is old school and he can't change. Paid advertising machinist and CADCAM forums, as well as worthless advertising driven CADCAM magazines, are no longer the way most CADCAM programmers get their information. A whole new world has emerged and LinkedIn groups like mine are leading the way. Basically, it's just about over but slow Eddy has his head shoved so far up his ass he can't see what's happening and how the world of business social networking has passed him by. Even if slow Eddy did understand he isn't capable of adapting to it. Put another way, you can't teach a handicapped, frail, old dog with dementia new tricks. |

Or they're just pitious _smaller_ sycophants (yes-man, bootlicker, brown- noser, toady, lickspittle, flatterer, flunky, lackey, spaniel, doormat, stooge, cringer, suck, suck-up) who have no lives of their own, either. I get all of my business from direct referrals. I have more offers than I can accept; signed contracts a year out. If anything, I need to move to new quarters and hire more staff; but that's a chancy deal, and I don't need money that much. Most of what I have is already paid for. It's not "big money", it's steady, reliable income. I'll never get rich doing it, but I love what I do; can't think of a better business (for me). Is that a challenge to jon ?? Then there are those who start LinkedIn blogs in the hope they'll get more than 28 comments! G But how many people viewed it. Even viewing the usenet invite 8 views so far? Now post your own up there and see if you even get a fraction of the response? |

It's the only way you can make a living. Hey, it's just a question, like "Have you stopped beating your wife?" And we know how that one goes for you, right? You ought to see if you can get a better mug shot. That one looks awful. In other words, you lied again and can't produce any proof. That's the slow Eddy I know. Where is the lie? I asked a question. But your mug shot still looks awful. Can't you do any better than this? Compared to this mugshot I think I look damn good: When Americans start violent protests at Walmarts I'll see what I can do to accomidate you by getting arrested. What concerns me is you're so old and senile that I doubt you will be alive by then. Well, don't get arrested again on my account, Jon. And I'm still pretty spry. I'm 5'9", like you, but I never weighed more than 155. And that was when I was on the lightweight crew in college. I really have no issue with being arrested, Ed. I've been arrested many times in my life. And if you weren't read your Miranda Rights, then you probably weren't even arrested (on record). What's a major problem for my critics is I've never been convicted of a felony and that's really too bad as I secretly wanted to be just like my old nemesis Heisenberg. And if you've been detained by the police many times, but never convicted of a felony, then the cops, investigators and prosecutors should be referred to your state's legislature (or your congressman) for harassment/overzealous behavior. You may have a lawsuit in your favor. In the mug shot that slow Eddy and many others looking to try and discredit me love to link to, the Florida prosecutor apologized to me and they dismissed all charges. That was good enough for me. Jon, if they tried to prosecute me and didn't apologize, then I'd ask for a F.O.I. copy of the prosecutor and investigator's entire file on me that they were supposedly going by and I'd keep my congressman and the feds (or vice versa) informed. (Just to see if it all stemmed from, say business rivals - maybe even from major business leaders in the area. I require that people who I speak with or that I work with not be sheeple. I can't think of a better way to quickly remove idiots who aren't adults and who need nannies. Those who try and use a mug shot against me are too stupid to realize that a mug shot and an arrest without a conviction doesn't mean anything. Dr. Martin Luther King's mug shot didn't hurt him and it doesn't hurt me. Life isn't perfect. I'm not perfect. I don't expect others to be perfect. Anyone who judges someone on an arrest without a conviction isn't someone I want anything to do with. Slow Eddy shows his true colors by trying to use it against me. I couldn't be happier about that. |
