Default Source for material?

Need about a 5 ft chunk of 8mm OD stainless round, with a hole through the
center lengthwise. Hole size not critical, somewhere in the range of 1.5 to
2.5 mm.
I've checked out gun drilling sources, but they seem to top out around 200x
diameter
for length of hole. This is more like 600x. Metric stainless DOM?

No idea of the alloy, but it's pretty springy. 304? 312? 316?

5/16" would probably work, but the original is definitely metric.

Anybody have a source, or just a suggestion of where to look?

Thanks,
Bill
