Default How do I take my prescription?

The doctor gave me a prescription. It says "Take 2 tablets daily By
Mouth".

I understand the 2 tablets daily part, but I dont understand the "by
mouth" part. What is my mouth supposed to do? Does this mean I am not
supposed to touch the pills with my hands and need to use my mouth to
get them out of the bottle?

Another thing I dont understand is the "Take" part. Where am I
supposed to take the pills to, after I get them out of the bottle? Is
this the same as Taking a ****? Should I just toss the pills in the
toilet and flush it, like when I "take" a ****?

If you want to take a ****, how about taking that little brown one
behind the door? It's been here forever, and none of us wants it.
