I'm calling for an immediate registration of all
hockey sticks. And a 15 day waiting period for
purchase, with background check. This proves that
Canadians cannot be trusted with high capacity
black hockey sticks with extended magazines.
It's for the children, man! The time is now!
Just think if one life could be saved.

I would have very much liked to have seen the face of the guy with the hockey stick if the store keeper pulled out a baseball bat.

As Oren scans the wire services looking for bad-news stories in Canada,
this is the best he can come up with:

"Ottawa police are searching for a man who tried to rob a downtown
Ottawa store with a hockey stick on Monday evening."

I live near Ottawa (Illinois, USA). Please be more specific in the headline of your posts, when you just list a city name, as there are duplicates of many city names.

Maybe you missed the domain name in the link; which was very specific.

You make a good point, but only 3 people in Illinois know what a
hockey stick is. In Canada, you get one at birth. They come with the
circumcision.

I think I'd be safe with "Moose Jaw", Saskatchewan.

I think there's only one Moose Jaw.

Probably only one "Medicine Hat", the one in Alberta, too.
And I expect only one "Whitehorse", the capital of the Yukon Territories
Ditto for "Yellowknife", the capital of the North West Territories

See what happens when you let Indians name cities?

True. In Ottawa, Illinois, people still have their three front teeth.
But I'm not certain about that. Things change so much I can't keep up.

I heard Indians name their children after the first thing they see
after the child's birth. Like; "Two Dogs ****in'". I'm not the expert
though.
