When faced with an offer of having full satellite TV at zero cost, I thought about it and declined. Even now, I have access to limited TV in a now unoccupied room. Nope. Don't watch it. nb |

in Big Bang Theory came on and much to my surprise I loved it... Never heard of it, but found it on NetFlix so I queued Disk1. I should have been more precise: we actually do have an old 27" crt type TV, but no TV reception. We live in a rural area down in a "hollow" and too far from broadcasters to receive over-the-air without a 50' tower/antenna (which we don't have) and no cable available. The only option is Satellite-TV, which we also don't have. but not enough to make me ever want to get a TV. Ditto. I'll stick with NetFlix DVDs and books. |

Being able to watch most TV shows on one of my computers is wonderful. I can find the programs that people are swooning over without having to watch the clock waiting for the show to come on or program a recorder. I have been watching whole TV series in the order they were shown which makes it so much easier to follow the plot line and continuity of the stories. ^_^ TDD |

At first I missed ESPN and C-SPAN but got over that quickly enough. I can't stand it now when I see it somewhere either, I can't understand how I could watch it (though I read at the same time) for so many years. -- "Where there's smoke there's toast!" Anon |

I have a British TV series up on the other desktop computer's 23" monitor behind me and I will roll my chair over to the other desk to watch it while I eat lunch. When I want to play with Usenet, I roll back to this computer with a 23" monitor. I watch most things on the computers except when there is some breaking local news then I turn on the huge TV in the other room. It's so much easier for me to watch a program or movie on the computer monitor because of my poor eyesight. ^_^ TDD |
