Default kitchen faucet not working but sprayer is working

i have no water at my kitchen faucet, but the sprayer is working fine.
all other water in the house is fine. earlier, the water pressure in
the kitchen seemed lower than usual. any ideas?

There is a diverter in such faucets. It would appear that it is jambed
in the "sprayer" mode. See if you can pull it apart (unlikely) and
clean it. I assume you mean that when you turn on the valve, you only
get water out of the sprayer. I'd suggest replacing the spray head/
hose. You can get ones in your local hardware store. Just re-attach
the hose to the fitting on the faucet underneath. You will need a
"basin wrench" to reach the fitting. PITA job to get up under there.
Should take about 15 minutes.

Thanks much for the info. Will try your suggestions. Sorry about the
triple postings. Looked like my computer was "stuck" trying to send
it, but it wasn't. : )

Replace the hose only as a last resort. Most likely the diverter and the
work is done from above. Depending on the brand, you can usually pull out
the old cartridge and drop in a new one.
