Time to move to Arizona (where they don't use daylight savings time
because the days are already perfect).

So you'd rather have the confusion that comes from messing with your

There is VERY LITTLE difference between "DST all the time", amid "no
DST at all".

Again, for no actual benefit, just temporarily increased confusion as
people adjust to a change.

Of course, EITHER "DST forever" or "DST never" would be much
preferable to the current situation. The amount of daylight is
determined by the heath's rotation and axial tilt, not governments and
stupid mind games.

The sun does not tell you what time to be at work or school nor does it
penalize you for being late. Farmers, burglars, and a handful of other
professions govern their lives by the comings and goings of Old Man Sol; for
the rest of us, we're at the mercy of a mechanism.

That the mechanism can be adjusted is a boon.

Mebbie to you.
DST happens to coincide with the offshore fishing/diving season.
I rather like an extra hour of sleep before going out and extra

There is a benefit. In the summer it's not light at 3:00AM. In
the winter it is light at 7:00AM.

What's different is what you CALL 3:00AM. If you don't like it getting
light while you're in bed, you could always go to bed earlier (and so
get up earlier). That's what you're doing now, just fooling yourself
into thinking otherwise.

Why do you think you're changing the Earth's axial tilt by resetting
your clock? Apparently, you think writing "home" on a map of Australia
is equivalent to moving there. It makes as much sense as this DST
junk.

There is VERY LITTLE difference between "DST all the time", amid "no
DST at all".

Bull****. You apparently confuse easily.

The problem is that I did NOT get confused by this DST nonsense, and
you are unable to tell the difference.

But governments and businesses determine time.

That may be the worst bull**** ever. They may determine standards for
MEASURING time. That's a long way from determining time.

By your "logic" we
should get rid of time zones altogether and just go bay local solar
time; not a good idea.

Stop whining and set the clocks Saturday night.

A mechanism that could control time may seem useful when you've just
had an accident and wish you could back up a few minutes and do things
differently. Of course, this fails to coincide with reality.

A world where governments and/or businesses and/or clocks could
control time would be a very different world from the one we live in.

Well, I'm not a milk farmer, as apparently you are. Where I live
businesses run by clocks. Transportation runs by the clock. Work
is done by the clock. Perhaps you should simply throw away your
clocks if you don't use time. The railroads found standardized
time to be quite useful though. DST is simply a method of trying
to alight artificial time to natural. Both are useful.

Why do you think you're changing the Earth's axial tilt by resetting

Nope, just moving artificial time zones to be more useful WRT Sol.
