Default Bugs in ice maker

Ever since I moved into my new apartment, I've been getting bugs coming
out in my ice from my ice maker. I've let it run and run for days, but
still they seem to be coming out. What are they and is there anything I
can do about them?

There are no visible signs of bugs anywhere else in the refridgerator,
freezer, or kitchen.

That's disgusting! Your freezer is possessed.

Three possibilities that I can think of:

While the apartment was empty, bugs crawled into the water line that is now
hooked to your fridge.
They are not bugs, but bits of carbon from a filter in the line
This is a troll.

Especially several times to the same guy.

You can't shout down a troll.
You have to starve them.

Much worse was when I made a mixed drink and found my bloody frozen

I hate when that happens.

Do not clean with vinagar - that will attract tiny fruit flies.

I have so many fruit flies that go up into my ice maker!!! Drives me
crazy. I agree with the person that said don't clean with vinegar. I
only use vinegar so maybe that is drawing them and they have to be drawn
to the cool of the ice maker???? They aren't on anything thing
else...there's nothing else out. Someone told me they can live/breed in
houseplants. I might move my plants and see how that works.

Good thing you do not have sewer gnats escaping from the around the
toilet rim flow jets. Can you imagine...

Be really, really, especially careful, some sacks of dirt may have a
rattlesnake, or an invasions of crickets. I'm warning people

I don't know about white vinegar, but cider vinegar in a jar with a
hole in the top makes a good trap. Yet, it does attract them.

Have you checked/cleaned the drip pan under the fridge?

How about a couple of photos? Include a ruler in the photos so we can judge the size of your bugs.

I have the same problem. I dumped all the ice out of the ice storage bin -
no bugs. I think they are not in the ice, they land on the dispenser end
of the ice maker and maybe die there or something, I don't know why. Try
cleaning the dispenser end before getting ice, and/or run a bunch of ice
out and throw it away before filling your glass. That seems to work for me.

Just terrible things we suffer each day.

Are you sure they are bugs and not pieces of a carbon filter breaking
off? Very new bugs would survive a freezer and there are few ways
they could get in.
