Why not take a screw to a good hardware store and see if they can help
or give you other suggestions??

thanks but there's no such thing as a good hardware store for miles
around me, thus I need to identify this at home.

Would you believe I was thinking along those lines (no good hardware
nearby) as I was typing, but thought I'd give it a go!!

Daniel
