Default Dust catcher and zero clearance insert for Hatachi C10FL table saw

rec.woodworking, Great dust catcher to use with 4" or 2 1/2" vacuums.
I used a 90 degree ABS black plastic and then anchord it to the cross
brace on the back of the saw. Very little mess to clean up now, unlike
my brother-in-laws big Ridgid saw, what a mess maker.---- also made a
zero clearance insert out of black ABS sheet the same thickness as the
factory insert, using the steel insert as a pattern, used the 4 height
adjust screws to secure it. I counter sank the screw holes of course.
works great for me.

Regarding the vacum, I gave up and removed the bottom dust catcher. I
found that the dust built up in the rack and pinion gears. I like the
ABS solution. I found some 0.125 alumunim that I ended up using. The
hardest part was the end piece that slides under the back end. I used
a flat head machine screw, washers, and a piece of the aluminum to
make that part. I use the leveling screws as originally intended. I
needed inserts for a molding head and zero clearance. Good solution
and thanks for the post.
Regards,
Dave G.
