mirror finish
Then give her a mirror finish go to the nearest glass place and get a mirror
cut to fit the top....mjh "BumHead" wrote in message ... I'm refinishing an old oak table. Been working on it for months. Posted pictures of it last fall. Top, top skirt and legs are stripped. Still have a frame piece and the lower shelf to strip. Top is glued back together.....it is tounge and grove boards that were held together with animal hide glue. Looks good, but wife wants a mirror finish on the top. How do I do that with white oak. Read somewhere (can't remember where) about wet sanding and using the slur produced by the sanding to fill in the natural low places inherient with the oak grain. Any help would be much appreciated. |
