Google bomb... you create a link to a site - always using the same word.
Once there are enough references to it the page rank algorithm will
elevate the page position. Typically done by bloggers (and blogging
"rings") who include the same set of links in each of their separate
blog entries. A bit like link spamming.

(in some cases you can trace the source easy enough with googls "link:"
or "inurl:" modifiers to see who did it... in this case that worked a
couple of days ago and found 30 odd blog entries, but they are not found
now which would suggest somone has noticed!)
