Default Blue-tack in a carpet

As above, I have blue tack in a carpet. How do I remove it?

I have done a google, but all that came back is some sort of glue that
is used to fix the carpet to the floor. Both blue and black.

Please. Where did I go wrong in typing into google 'removing blue tack
from a carpet' ?

I'm not that clued up on the way to google things. Is there a definitive
way to do it and is there a web site that explains this?

many TIA

you need to think like a machine and know what you are looking for

blutack remove - in google found this :-

http://www.bostik.co.za/stationery/blutack.htm

mineral turps is a solvent for blutack - then you will need something to
remove the smell of the turps

Turps or white spirit will remove blue tack or chewing gum, but you do
need to be careful about the backing material of the carpet. The
solvent may attack that, or the bonding agent.

Got an offcut to try it on?

If it seems OK after a few hours use it on the carpet, then dab with
tepid water & washing up liquid. Blot up water with kitchen roll.

Plan B. Ice in a plastic bag, get the blue tack really, really cold
and it should crumble in to powder with a little gentle scraping.
