Off Topic but would you?

Some right wing US journalist: http://g.msn.com/0PNENGB/1?http://c....04&z=450237618 got paid $21,000 (twenty one thousand dollars) for writing an article that supported W Bush prior to his election. I would willingly write an article supporting bush. As long as it's printed on toilet paper, stretched between two high posts, and supporting him, while he's fitted with a sturdy noose. |

Based on the book 'Dude, where's my Country', it's main and only aim was to assist in the prevention of the re-election of GW. The book, the timing of the film, all the publicity was geared to this. And yet, in terms of how the election went, it would appear that it barely had any impact whatsoever. How long did they run the US under Macarthyism? Just a couple of years wasn't it? What a paranoid individual he was, blimey. We have hindsight of course. To watch some of those interview witchhunts now, particularly the one with the truckers union guy[forgotten his name now], is really quite bizzare. Remembering also of course that both John and Robert Kennedy were heavily involved at that time....in fact they both sat on the infamous McCarthy panel I believe. Slap in the middle of the 'Red Scare'. Anyway...no answers here I'm afraid. Garry |

If you "enjoyed" 9/11, make sure you see "Bowling For Columbine", just as scary. To think that these people are the only superpower, and think they own the world... |

yes we all rember MT (Marg Thatcher) for all you young punks that still
are in your nappies. The guy (Bush) is clearly off his rocker but please don't pretend you understand culture. I (a british man) living in America for over 10 years now much prefer the concept of love than hate. The old joke of "how can you tell whan a British Airways aircraft has landed" still holds so true and I am so glad I got out of the whiny brigade when I could. Bush is a moran but you are a bigger moran to hold a country responsible for the actions of one man with a lot of money Next topic Tony Blair he he ho ho |

In message lgate.org,
Michael Mcneil writes Well that's me warmed up for tonight's show. (It's either that or Albert Einstein.) Sore subject ... Given that the eldest has a good honours degree in IT, would you expect that when asked to start the video, because you were going out for a meal with friends, he would press the off button instead of the record button ... because it's also red ? I give up ! -- geoff |
