Default MK/Volex consumer units..?

If i buy an empty consumer unit, perhaps one with just a mains
isolator, will it include the necessary cabling kit and buzzbar for the
full load of MCB's which will eventually live in it or is this
normally purchased as a separate item??,screwfix prices seem ok though
there is an ebayer who shifts a load of them also..

Usually, yes. If you buy a standard main switch only versoin you won't
be able to make it split load though, and vice-versa is also true
unless extensive modifications to the CU are your thing.

there is an ebayer who shifts a load of them also..

What he supplies, I couldn't tell you. No garauntee that it will be
complete.

MK ones come with the bus bar and neutral cables if you get one
without RCD and extra cables for the RCD if you go for one with that.
