My conservatory has a well insulated concrete slab with a 4"
upstand of insulation around the edge, including across doorways, where the insulation at the edge was visible, before tiling over. I tiled it in limestone tiles & a couple of years later, adjacent to some french windows, hairline cracks appeared across the tiles in the vicinity of the transition from slab to the edge insulation. I'm presuming the dissimilar materials under these tiles have contributed to the cracking. If I was doing it again how could I have avoided this?
