Default Flat or slim cooker hoods

On the back cover of the free copy of Magnet's brochure that has just
dropped through my door is what looks like a very slim cooker
extractor. It's not your conventional hood jutting into the room at
eyelevel, more a stainless steel panel fixed to the wall behind the hob,
tilting further away from the wall as it reaches the ceiling, with what
look like 3 horizontal slots - presumably to extract the steam etc.
There is no mention of it on their web site.

Does anyone know anything about this style of extractor?

deep breath !

Similar but the Magnet version appears to protrude only about 6" from the
wall.

I did see them in a catalougue soem months ago, but that was before SWTSMBO
expressed any interest in them!
