Dunno -

but these:

https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_In...ngs/index.html

are the dog's ******** - I have these. 24V feed (I can suggest a DECENT
24V SELV PSU from RS if you like, not the crap the sheds sell).

The plugs are screw terminal, handy for removing to clean. 24V means you
can run the lot off one PSU without worrying about volt drops too much
(plus very safe against splashes).

And they are bright - very very bright, with a clean white light.

Default LED Under Cabinet Lights

Hi all

I have been plagued with failures of T4 tubes under the cabinets
in my kitchen.

I haven't actually kept count but it must be half a dozen plus
tubes in four years in five fittings. The kitchen isn't subject
to any worse conditions than the average, no crystal meth factory
etc.

So I was looking at replacing these with the LED units linked below
https://www.electrical2go.co.uk/bell...white-4000k-ul
tralink-led-undercabinet-strip.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gcl
id=CLPNzoC4_c4CFUHGGwodLYoBcQ

Does anyone have experience of these? Any reason why the T4 tubes
(Eterna and Robus) are not lasting for a reasonable amount of
time?

Thanks

Phil

Probably nasty ballasts.

I've got T8? (old standard size) tubes with electronic ballasts under my
cupboards. Just go on and on and on...

6 tubes per 5 fittings is 1.2 tubes per fitting over 4 years. Not so bad.

Nothing like what I get with the 4' long fluoro tubes.

Not tried those, but did do some under cabinet lighting with:

https://trade.ledhut.co.uk/led-strip...-childsku.html

(powered from a small PSU that I "hid" in the cooker hood, and slaved to
its light switch)

Give a very nice even light onto the worktop.

(they do a waterproof version as well if you need wet service area
protection)

OK, I'm convinced. I need two, so I buy two 500mm units, each of which
comes with 1m connecting lead. I also need one power source. Any
reason not to buy TLC's own LA LED24DRV30 24v LED Driver - 30
Watt?

Anything else I need, or anything I've missed?
